thru: Deaf Refugee Advocacy, Inc.
• Helps with many things, such as:
- Setting goals
- Money help, SNAP, rental aid, and Social Security
- Training for jobs and finding jobs
- Health care, Medicaid, and finding doctors
- Helping with housing, finding a home and speaking to landlords
- Becoming a US citizen
- Legal help, going to court and speaking to lawyers
- Wellness Assistance
- Assistance reading and understanding important papers
- Peer Engagement- learn from each other's perspectives, experiences, and knowledge, leading to a deeper understanding of concepts
Cultural Competency
Language Access
Eligibility: Deaf refugees, asylum-seekers, immigrants, and those from US territories and family members. US born Deaf individuals that may benefit from services.
Application Process: Walk in, call, or visit website for more information. To guarantee availability, make an appointment.
Required Documentation: All papers relevant to status in this country such as: ID, Social Security number, Visa, etc.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: Monroe County.

Languages: American Sign Language- Staff provides service in language offered, Staff provides in-person interpreter, Language line, Materials/literature in language indicated
