Energy Conservation Program

thru: Action for A Better Community

Offers home energy conservation services to reduce household energy consumption. 
  • Testing, cleaning of furnace/heating systems. 
  • Indoor air quality testing and ventilation upgrades as necessary. 
  • Heating and/or hot water tank repairs or replacements as approved by Housing and Community Renewal. 
  • Installing perimeter, attic and/or wall insulation, possible window and door repair or replacement. 
  • Weather-stripping, caulking and/or repair of cracked glass and sash, sill and thresholds of doors and windows. 
  • Possible refrigerator replacement. 
  • Energy efficient air conditioners for those who can prove a medical need. 

Eligibility: Must meet income eligibility guidelines. Resident of area served.

Application Process: Call for information.

Required Documentation: Proof of ownership, utility Bill and current income verification for last 30 days.

Fees: Homeowners: No fee for services. Landlords renting property must invest a minimum of 35% of the cost.
