- American Sign Language (ASL)
- Read and write in English
- Manage money wisely
- How to do things on your own, like cooking and cleaning
- Becoming a US citizen and know about US history and government
- Care of your health and body
- Manage feelings and have good relationships
- How to be ready for a job and work well
- Helps families learn ASL and about Deaf culture
- Learn how to use computers
- Preparation for Driver's Permit

Eligibility: Deaf refugees, asylum-seekers, immigrants, and those from US territories and family members. US born deaf people that may benefit from services.
Application Process: Walk in, visit website, or call. To guarantee availability, make an appointment.
Required Documentation: All papers relevant to status in this country such as: ID, Social Security number, Visa, etc.
Fees: No fee for services.
Coverage Note: Monroe County.

Deaf Refugee Advocacy, Inc. (DRA) helps Deaf refugees, immigrants, and people seeking asylum, along with their families. They offer services like education and case management. DRA also ensures they can communicate well and get the help they need from other organizations in the community.
