* Provides training and support services for health care occupations:
  • Home Health Aide (HHA). 
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA). 
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and refresher program. 
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). 
  • Pharmacy Technician. 
  • Medical Secretary. 
  • Sterile Processing Technician. 

Eligibility: General REOC entrance requirements include the following: Must be 17 years or older and meet income requirements. Specific programs may have their own additional requirements.

Application Process: Print out appropriate program requirement checklist and bring all required documentation to REOC for review. Contact REOC Admissions Department for more information.

Required Documentation: Proof of Income, Proof of (one year) New York State Residency, Photo Identification, I-94 or Green Card (if you are not a citizen of the United States). View REOC’s Required Documentation Checklist.

Fees: No fee for service.

Coverage Note: Serves Monroe County, but individuals may reside outside the county.

 

The Rochester Educational Opportunity Center provides career training and academic programs for adults. Programs are tuition-free and based on eligibility. Supports are provided through academic and career tutoring, community outreach and programming, ATTAIN computer certifications and programs, GED preparation and testing, college preparation, college entrance assistance, ESOL programs, career services, and program and support counseling for students.
