Provides services to adoptive kinship families as well as families who have been granted legal guardianship of a child.

  • Information and assistance with referral to services, including 24/7 crisis management
  • Individual advocacy and support
  • Monthly support groups and family-focused social/recreational programs
  • Parent education groups, trauma-informed trainings, and family-oriented workshops
    • Provided in community locations including libraries, community recreation centers, and other family-friendly sites
  • Adoption competency training for parents and professionals
    • Will meet with families in the community, in their homes, and at Hillside locations

Eligibility: Resident of area served. Adoptive families and families who have legal guardianship of a child.

Application Process: Call for information.

Required Documentation: Documentation of adoption or legal guardianship.

Fees: No fee for services.

Coverage Note: Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Erie, Genesee, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Onondaga, Steuben, and Tioga counties.
