Basic Needs

Students in grades 7 through 12. Must have at least two of the following risk factors: Low socioeconomic status (SES). Low school attendance. Overage for grade. Failing 2 or 3 core subjects. ELA​/Math level below 3. Suspensions. Must attend one of the designated Hillside Work Scholarship Schools, including: Early College International High School. East High School – Upper. Individuals struggling to find employment due to previous​/current incarceration, addiction, individuals receiving DHS services or chronic unemployment. Must be available to participate.

Post-secondary deaf students interested in training in a technical career field.

Individual resides in Monroe County, is 18 years and older, and is the primary caregiver of child or children: 13 years old or younger. (Please note: if a child has a disability-eligibility can be up to 18 years of age). Individual is interested in increasing skills through short term training and​/or career advancement in Health Care, Advanced Manufacturing, or Information Technology.
